Latest and All Critic Collection: Marvel's "WandaVision" Critic

According to the official trailer released by Disney+ and Marvel Entertainment, the fifth and sixth episodes are going live together this Friday, which is so cool!

(But no, I'm so angry. When I was writing the manuscript, according to the official announcement at the time, it was released together with episodes 5 and 6, and screenshots as proof)

The following is a frame-by-frame analysis of the official trailer and does not include comments on the leaked video! In fact, there is duplicate information in it, but if it is only the information shown in the leaked video, it will not be analyzed.

Again, the following analysis is only for the official trailer, excluding leaked videos!

1. Monica

After Monica was knocked out of the barrier, she was sent to the hospital for a physical examination.

2. Preparations for the Tianjian Bureau

Director Tyler Hayward chaired the meeting and presented the current situation and mentioned that someone was in Westview, was that referring to Monica or the beekeeper? It had been speculated before that Dotty was an undercover agent of the Tianjian Bureau.

In the picture, the old TV set in the background shows that the WandaVision sitcom is in the 1980s.

3. Agnes

Agnes, dressed in 80s aerobics outfit, said two important lines.

A sentence that should be said to Wanda, "should we just take it from the top (are we going to do it again)", may be to imply that she knows that Wanda can "flash back" or "rewind".

Not sure who it was addressed to, and asked "are you here to help us (are you here to help us)".

4. Halloween

With Halloween coming, the townspeople are starting to decorate their houses, and one woman has tears on her face in a close-up as she hangs ghost-shaped props in front of her house. It became more and more obvious that residents were being coerced into "playing the house".

Vision dressed up directly as Vision's classic appearance in the comics, and Halloween is also the plot of the first issue of the first volume of the comics "Vision and the Scarlet Witch 1982 1st Series".

Volume 1 synopsis: "Trick or Treat!"
Vision and Scarlet Witch are independent!
This powerful couple left the Avengers and bought a home in Leonia, NJ with the aim of creating a new life together! Accordingly, the first night in their new home was...Halloween!
After the sun goes down, strange things start to happen!

The Vision and Scarlet Witch comics were first released in 1982, and the first volume consisted of four issues, from November 1982 to February 1983. The second volume is a total of 12 issues, from October 1985 to September 1986.

"Vision and the Scarlet Witch" Volume 1
The limited series is written by Bill Mantlo and painted by Rick Leonardi.
In this series, the villain Magneto is the father of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, and intends to abandon his previous claims.
Revealed some of the previous clues, which were released during the Avengers and X-Men.
This comic book classic was around for decades until it was canceled in 2014's crossover storyline AXIS.
first issue cover

In the third episode, after Wanda and Vision heard the movement, their "comedy" defensive posture was a tribute to the cover of the first issue of the second volume of “Vision and the Scarlet Witch” in 1985.

Summary of the second volume: Avengers West Coast Crossover. Double-size issue.
"Lovers and Zombies!"
The story opens in "Project Pegasus," where officials question Vision after the events of Avengers 254. After storming out of the interrogation room, Vision and Scarlet Witch returned to Leonia, New Jersey and purchased a new home.
While Wanda and her husband are checking out the backyard, the Black Claw Raptors' zombies attack! This is part of the evil conspiracy of Nekra and the Scythe Reaper.
The story continued in West Coast Avengers (1985).

5. Questioning the Vision

Vision questioned again and again, saying "there's something wrong here".

Not only did he find Westview to be weird, but the residents here also looked weird and began to wonder "what is outside of Westview".

6. Leaving the enchantment

There is a scene where Vision stands in front of the barrier, then tries to leave, and manages to get out but immediately kneels.

Through the analysis of the fourth episode, we know (the fourth episode review link can be clicked here ) that the screenwriter has really added a setting that can "modify reality" in the MCU.

It seems that whatever happens or changes on this sitcom, that change will persist. So because the twins have been created, I personally guess that even if they leave the barrier, they will definitely continue to live.

To know that Vision is actually dead, can he continue to live when he walks out of the enchantment?

If the vision is just a corpse that has been enchanted, then leaving the barrier is probably really kneeling.

7. Wanda's Awakening

It is estimated that when faced with the questioning of the vision, Wanda said, "I don't know how any of this started". The general guess is that this is Wanda's defense mechanism to deal with grief. Either he's turned into a villain, or he's been used.

If the first few episodes were really Wanda "chasing the corpse" throughout the whole process, then it is estimated that Marvel is to bring the image of Wanda's "madman" closer to the original comics.

In one scene, Wanda is sitting on the sofa talking, kind of like the interview in "Modern Family". The earliest trailer had this image.

8. The Great War

Trucks began to drive in. Obviously, Tianjian Bureau had to break through the barrier, and Wanda and Vision said they would stand for their own home for their own happiness, and then they both took off. These shots were the earliest. The trailer is there.

The Tianjian Bureau should have developed some kind of equipment to break through the barrier. One shot shows Director Hayward of the Tianjian Bureau standing in front of the barrier. It is unknown whether the barrier was attacked, or it was wrapped in red energy before being attacked.

9. The paradox between Wanda and Vision

Although the whole process has been sweet and sweet, we all know that there is glass slag in this sweetness. This picture is simply sweet honey.

When Vision keeps questioning and Wanda keeps turning a blind eye, the two may have had a conflict. There is a scene where the two fly to confront each other in the living room.

The fifth and sixth episodes should be interspersed with the external situation and the internal comedy. This should be the first small climax of the whole drama.

It now appears that "Wanda Vision" adopts a standard three-stage structure. The first three episodes set the background, the fourth episode is partially explained, and the fifth and sixth episodes begin to create conflict. It is estimated that the seventh episode should be able to really go to the war.

The above are all personal speculations. I am not a professional film critic. I have been able to write drama reviews all the time because of my love for the drama. Many interpretations are inevitably unprofessional. Corrections and discussions are welcome.
