I choose to continue to be 22, not to be born

Cynic 22 has a more muscular personality than protagonist Joey. The depression and redemption of 22 in the second half is less convincing.

If I were 22, the little fortunes of being a human being mentioned in the movie could probably only be used to overcome the suffering of being a human being. If there is no artistic creation or expression of will, I still choose to continue to be the free soul of No. 22.

The movie is a bowl of crafted chicken soup that celebrates life. The aftertaste is lingering and the stamina is limited. It is recommended that everyone on the earth who has been born has a bowl of it with their necks raised, greedy for life and fear of death, and spend the rest of their lives indifferently.

Soul quotes

  • Joe: You ready?

    22: Huh?

    Joe: To come live.

22: ...I'm scared, Joe. I'm not good enough. And anyway, I... I never got my spark.

Joe: Yes, you did. Your spark isn't your purpose. That last box fills in when you're ready to come live. And the thing is, you're pretty great at jazzing.

  • 22: [in Joe's body] Like my mentor George Orwell used to say, State sponsored education is like the rattling of a stick inside a swill bucket.
