Because So Yeon accidentally created a fire and killed her father, she later entered a dual personality. She killed her mother when she was Shuying, and then she had an adoptive mother. In order to cover up the truth, other people were killed one after another. As Soyeon, she hoped to change all of this, hoped that she didn't kill anyone, and hoped that her mother was still alive. At the end of the film, Soyeon and Shuying implied that she had been living in a personality opposition for 20 years.
