Storyline conflict no longer brings horror

I gave 3 stars, Samsung is "OK". If you can't find any movies, this is the place to watch. I just found the film randomly, starting from the progress bar 50 minutes, fast-forward to watch the content. This feature film contains 3 related stories, and each story is transitioned in my own book. The story line is easy to understand.

According to other film reviewers, this film is a remake. In the old film, the good and evil attributes between the female professor and the boy with the blood book are reversed. I haven't seen the original, so I thought this change might be okay. Considering that the horror atmosphere of the whole film is not too strong, the screenwriter added and corrected these story conflicts, at least to make the rhythm of the film not so flat.

What impressed me the most was the story of that girl. When I see the end, I feel more and more like a real case. Interested friends can Baidu "Michelle Carter Manslaughter Case". Also instigating her depression boyfriend to commit suicide, in reality, teenage Michelle Carter instigated the victim to commit suicide through text messages in order to attract the attention of others, and tried her best to excuse herself during the trial.

The girl's guilt in the film is magnified, and she doesn't understand the inside story at first. It is easy to think that she is the victim of her mother's emotional violence. In the end, she is the real perpetrator, and the ending also arranges a guilt-style "release" for her. I wonder if Michelle Carter in reality later felt guilty?

Many people will feel that the ending of a girl who chooses to be imprisoned by herself is very abrupt. Because I have seen the Michelle Carter case, but I wondered if it was the screenwriter's "satisfactory handling" - letting the bad guys reflect on themselves in the movie and actively seek punishment. This kind of punishment, normally it seems that "life is better than death". It is precisely because of this arrangement of seeking justice that the horror of the story is also weakened (I am quite timid). Like I said at the beginning, watch a movie to pass the time.
