I was wondering what kind of movie it was before I watched it. on the computer for a long time. because of subtitles.
Tony Watertani is just the name of the male lead.
Since childhood, he has been lonely. Mother died young. My father was a wandering jazz musician.
He can take good care of himself. Cook clean food. Learn to draw.
Growing up he was still lonely. Because he couldn't find a woman who wanted to marry her.
Days go by. He meets a woman. She felt like she was born to wear clothes.
He liked her very much, and the woman agreed to marry him.
He was insecure when he first got married. Someone was by his side. Live with him. Take care of him.
Fear of being alone again.
The wife is very nice. But she is crazy about buying clothes. When you see a good-looking dress, you must buy it. Uncontrollable purchases.
So there was a dedicated room at home for her countless coats. skirt. Jacket. shoe. bag.
Gradually, he and his wife discussed whether they could stop buying clothes.
His wife likes him very much too. I also want to change. But she couldn't control herself.
One day she decided to return the clothes she bought at a familiar store. He died in a car accident that day.
He was alone again. Solitary bath. Have a meal. Lying on the corner of the sofa thinking of his dead wife.
He recruited a secretary in the newspaper.
Then the requirement is to have someone with the same measurements, shoe size, and height as his deceased wife.
Then a woman just like his wife appeared. He asked her to wear a piece of clothing left by his late wife to work every day to remember her.
When taking the woman to try on clothes at home, the woman saw so many beautiful clothes in the room. Cried.
I have never seen so many clothes.
The next day he decided to sell all the clothes to second-hand clothing companies.
In the empty room he lay huddled on the floor. So lonely. But to cross.
It is a film adaptation of Haruki Murakami's novel. Haven't seen the original.
Lots of narration. The music keeps going, from Ryuichi Sakamoto. feel quiet. Very little dialogue.
His house smells great. open. Very little furniture. Gray tone.
It's the way I like it.
