I don't understand why so many people say that this is a BUG drama, a divine drama or something. In fact, this drama is very realistic. Israel is a country that has been fighting since the founding of the People's Republic of China. The people who play with rifles may drive an armored vehicle if they hit anyone on the street. Could it be that we Chinese keyboard warriors know more about the Middle East war than others?
In the Golan Heights battle, less than 200 Israeli tanks sniped the crazy attack of 1,400 tanks on the opposite side. It is known as a model of armored defense warfare and a classic battle line of modern main battle tanks.
The British L7 rifled guns on Israeli tanks are fully capable of taking T54s one by one at long range. Several Israeli tanks greeted and opened dozens of cans at a time, which is not only uncommon in the Golan Heights battle, but the norm. There's even a single bike destroying 10 T54/55s at once!
Armored warfare is inherently asymmetrical. It doesn't mean that everyone drives tanks the same way. Shooting distance, preset fortifications, main gun performance, training level, sighting equipment, any of them can bring a world of difference.
Israeli tanks in the Golan Heights battle had at least these advantages:
1. Pre-set tank positions prepared in advance.
2. The open area of the high and underground areas has an extremely wide field of vision, and there is almost no vegetation on the surface, making it a perfect tank cemetery.
3. Israel has arranged a large number of obstacles such as anti-tank trenches in the open area.
4. The British L7/105mm tank gun is superior to the Soviet 100mm tank gun in all aspects of firepower, shooting distance and accuracy.
5. The training level of the Israel Defense Forces is significantly higher than that of the Syrian Army.
Almost all of the above are very specific in the current two episodes. Even the lack of defense depth of the Israeli army, the command post is too close to the front line, and there is a danger of being outflanked at any time. These are all carefully described in the play.
Even with a great technical advantage, because of the huge disadvantage in quantity, Israel saved the war at the cost of almost completely destroying the armored forces deployed for defense. It is not invulnerable, especially in the face of a small number of T62 advanced viewing equipment Time. The tank platoon in the play was ambushed by infantry in the second episode, and a tank was scrapped.
The 3 tanks fired from a long distance in the preset outcrop positions and called the T54 one by one, paying attention to the depression angle of the main gun when firing:
On the opposite side in a low open area, without terrain cover, the destroyed T54/55:
Topographical and positional advantages repeatedly mentioned:
A battle is almost run out of ammunition, ambushed by infantry anti-tank weapons, etc. These plots are not random. . . In the play, the deputy platoon leader watched his tank was ambushed and scrapped by armor-piercing weapons, and a car of teammates died in action, causing him to be extremely excited and angry, and finally made a big mistake
"Lieutenant Zwicka Greengold commanded 4 tanks, 3 of which had just returned from repair. At 9:20 that night, the contingent destroyed 3 Syrian tanks, but Zwicka was separated from the friendly forces. Half an hour later , 30 Syrian tanks and trucks came in neatly. Zwicka commanded the only tank to use the terrain to deal with it, and even opened fire close to 30 meters, destroying 10 T-55s in a row. The Syrian army thought it was ambushed. Hasty retreat.
Lieutenant Colonel Moore led 7 tanks to support, but they were facing 100 tanks. At the end of the battle, only one of Zwicka's tanks was still firing. His car was destroyed before, but he was lucky to escape and switch to another car. When he was forced to withdraw from the battlefield due to injury and fatigue, his crew had destroyed 20-30 Syrian tanks! "
Finally, take a look at the real Syrian tank graveyard in the Golan Heights, is it exaggerated? BUG?
