In memorial of monkey's fav James Bond actor, watched his Oscar movie the second day he died- he also died in the movie, so sad and touching. His part isn't a lot, but shaped a strong character, an old cop who mentored and motivated the main actor until he die "Now you prepare to do what", while I'm not very fond of the main actor, reckless and weak, but has integrity and passion to achieve sth.

Two Chicago gangster movie happened in the 20s30s in a row shows me the dark and chaos in last century, alcohol is illegal and stop ppl from having fun, which totally obeyed humanity. Ironically, two of the died unstoppable member both drunk in the movie, and the probation ended right after they sentenced Carpone into jail.

Uncle Kevin has nothing to say except being handsome. Sean Connery is indeed a veteran 007. After being shot by a submachine gun, he can still climb back to the house from the door and climb so far. He insisted on waiting until Kevin came to tell him the information before hanging up! Is it science? It's not cool during the Gunfight at Garcia Station, but it's too cool to shoot. The image of the villain boss of the fat version of De Niro is more funny, slightly cute when cursing. .

Parma has always liked to incorporate multiple types of elements in his works. For example, his "Cruel Line" incorporates political shady, detectives, and love stories. This film is no exception. The bold addition of western scenes in the film makes the film more style. Rich, but throughout the film, this approach did not continue, making the scene seem abrupt and casual. The first few scenes of "Iron Selflessness" are very amazing. They are obviously well-conceived and rigorously executed. De Niro's performance is particularly outstanding. Unfortunately, this seems to be the only fascinating moment in the film. As the plot progresses, the narrative of the film appears. It is getting weaker and weaker, and the suspense drama generally loses its tension. In addition, the action scenes in the second half of the film were either awkwardly placed or clumsy. (The most typical are the two scenes of Odessa Ladder and Roof Chase) The ending is hurried and blunt, which prevents the film from becoming the work of Parma's first echelon. PS: In Kung Fu, the dying monologue of the gossip stick pays tribute to the ending of Sean Connery in the film

The Untouchables quotes

  • Ness: I have foresworn myself. I have broken every law I have sworn to uphold, I have become what I beheld and I am content that I have done right!

  • Malone: [holding him against the window of the cabin in Canada] You're gonna talk, pal. You're gonna beg to talk. Because somebody's going to talk!

[walks out of the shack, and holds the dead body of a gangster Ness shot]

Malone: Hey you, on your feet! We need you to translate this book! And I'm not going to ask you a second time! I'm gonna count to three.

[places gun in the gangster's mouth]

Malone: What's the matter? Can't you talk with a gun in your mouth? One... two... THREE!

[pulls the trigger, blowing the corpse's skull cap off]

George: [screams] Don't! Okay! I'm going to talk! I'll tell you whatever you want! What do you want to know?
