Watching film art specifically analyzes this movie, focusing on the three parts that explain what happened at the same time from three different perspectives: jackie, Melanie, and Max, which made me very interested. The heroine of this movie, Jackie, is a flight attendant, secretly helping the arms dealer Ordell bring money from Mexico to the United States. After being exposed by the police, she thought of a plan and reached an agreement with the police to help them catch ordell and deliver the money twice. The first time the police had to familiarize themselves with their transaction methods and the people who received the cash, the second time they got all the stolen goods. The reward is to give her the right to enter and exit freely and to waive prosecution. Jackie also reached an agreement with Ordell that the money she delivered for the second time would be ten times more than the money reported to the police. The person who received the cash for the second time replaced and misled the police to arrest another person, and then they held it firmly. With the money, the remuneration is 15% of the cost. But she herself has another plan reached with Max. She wants to embezzle this large sum of money except for the part that the police knows about. To be honest, I was dizzy. I don't really understand how they trade and what are the pros and cons. But in the end, it was quite scary that Jackie had to face the police and Ordell's final settlement.

The three repeated paragraphs were not particularly stunning because they were spoiled by the book, but they still felt very powerful.

Ordell's new striker, Louis, even fell in love with Melanie when he suspected Melanie was Ordell's girlfriend. Afterwards, he told Ordell that he was a little guilty. Hey, these people are all for profit, and betrayal is a matter of minutes.

The interlude and soundtrack are nice! The heroine is also very beautiful and super imposing! In the end, Max watched Jackie drive away from him because he had to deal with work. Faced with work and love, Max still chose work.

It is indeed Quentin’s worst work, but such a simple and routine story still becomes witty thanks to his strong personal style. Throughout the story, the characters of chat, meteor golden song, and strange chicken make this woman cheat the movie. It seems that there is such a difference, but it is a pity that the personal charm of the female protagonist really can't hold up this role. If it were to be the starring Salma Hayek, how perfect it would be!

Jackie Brown quotes

  • Ordell Robbie: You can't trust Melanie. But, you can always trust Melanie to be Melanie.

  • Ordell Robbie: Melanie real good about throwing a fuck a nigger's way. I mean, she ain't no damn good at it, but she likes to fuck.

Louis: Oh, so, she ain't your girlfriend.

Ordell Robbie: Is that what you thought?

Louis: Nah, I wasn't sure, you know.

Ordell Robbie: But you fucked her anyway, though, huh?

Louis: Well - the not your girlfriend part I felt more about.

Ordell Robbie: Oh,, I hope you felt appropriately guilty afterwards.

    Louis: Afterwards, I did.

    [Louis and Ordell both laugh]
