Disillusioned and Broken Beauty - "Zombie Bride"

Like the rest of Tim Burton's films, this animation is full of warmth, romance and fantasy - despite its terrifying title.

Zombie bride Emily is a poor girl who waits with sweet tenderness, but is hurt by her lover, so she has been lying in the cold snow. But her heart still yearns for love. When Victor summoned the courage to practice his wedding vows in the cold woods and accidentally put the ring on Emily's dry finger, the lonely girl who had been waiting for love couldn't wait to sit up from the snow , said happily, yes, I would.

After such a long cold, this girl with mottled face, worn wedding dress and messy hair is still looking forward to love. When Victor rejected her and deceived her, she would still feel heartache, although she had no heart, she would still cry, even though she was a zombie.

All her life, the zombie bride is nothing but longing for love. However, the first time, the person was wrong, and the second time, the time was wrong. This beautiful, stubborn, kind, and waiting girl finally turned into a white butterfly under the moonlight, just like a mermaid princess turned into a rose-colored foam.

This should be a fairy tale for adults. The world of the living is pale and ashes, but the world of zombies is lively and enthusiastic, and the colors are much more colorful than the world of the living, which makes people smile at these careful thoughts. Thank you Tim Burton, no matter how gloomy the leaden picture is, I still see warmth. No matter how others see the exquisite images, extol stunts, and decipher humanity from this film, I just stubbornly see a girl waiting for love, heartbroken for it.

After watching it again, I remembered that the butterfly drawn by Victor at the beginning of the movie echoes the zombie bride turning into a butterfly in the moonlight later. The last scene of turning into a butterfly is the same as the scene where Edward Scissorhands builds an ice sculpture in a lonely castle under the moonlight, which is deeply sad.
