After watching this movie, Tom Hardy will play two roles as the most powerful Clay brothers in the history of London gangsters, Reginald and Ronald. They ruled the entire East End of London in the 1950s and 1960s, from armed robbery to violent attacks, from protection fees to arms smuggling, murder, it can be said to be all evil. Black and white, they are popular in business, politics, and entertainment. The younger of the brothers claimed to be bisexual and had affairs with many politicians. The police arrested the two brothers in 1968 and eventually sentenced them to life in prison, ending their golden age of crime.

At the same time, there is also an emotional line in the film. The love story between his brother Reginald and Francis, Reginald has been busy in love and business, and repeatedly emphasized to his girlfriend: "I am not a gangster, I am a bar owner. .", After he dealt with the trouble, he returned to Frances' side, flirted with love as if nothing had happened, and in the gap, silently said the sentence to the brother behind: "Don't bother me again", such a free switching situation , walking on the borders of the law, as an unscrupulous businessman.

Reginald has always been smart and confident. He once angrily denounced his younger brother as a "criminal". He mocked that the police were just working for the government. Although he was deceiving himself, he was arrogant. But sadly, he couldn't manage his brother well. Eventually, this pit brother lost a lot of himself. He once said to Frances who moved away: "We all love my brother, we all work hard, in fact, we just need to wait. Let's see when we will get there.", Frances asked: "Where?", he replied: "Heaven." Not long after Frances committed suicide, he danced in the bar, but failed to win his brother's smile. They also had a fight on the proposal day because of the different business philosophy of the bar, but the woman ran away, but the two brothers hugged together.

In the end, Francis' suicide made his brother completely lose his forbearance and restraint. He stabbed to death a person in front of everyone at the party. The two brothers couldn't fight the prime minister who was determined to rectify their affairs, and went to jail. Both brothers also died in prison and mental hospital due to illness. The story and era of a generation of gangster legends is over.

In the film, Ronald is a staunchly violent man, Francis is a staunch idealist who expects Reginald to change his ways, and Reginald is the only person in the play who has a psychological struggle. Reginald has had many opportunities to change, and has tried many times to change. The reason for pulling between change and not change is his brother Ronald and his wife Francis. Reginald had always been in that erratic state, and his life could be balanced by pulling and pulling until his wife, Francis, died. When Francis left, the balance shifted, and Ronald could only be pulled closer to the endless abyss. There is no right or wrong between the two of them, what may degenerate them is their natural love and killing character.

  • Ronald Kray: ...And I'm staring at the back of this geezer's head. Drilling him with my eyes. The whole time thinking "Give Ron Kray your sausage. Give Ron your fucking sausage." Until, I'm not thinking it anymore; I'm broadcasting , through his skull and into his brain. 'Til he looks back at me and says "Ron, do you fancy my sausage? I've got no appetite this morning."
