The protagonist of the movie is Edison. Everyone must be familiar with him. He should have heard of his deeds in elementary school textbooks. He has been inventing and creating continuously throughout his life and has more than 1,000 patents. US President Hoover said: He is the most famous person in the United States, a national treasure of the United States, and a benefactor of mankind. The story takes place when Edison invented the electrical system and the light bulb, when electricity was the exclusive preserve of a few people. Edison finally found a suitable filament through tens of thousands of experiments, and invented the DC generator and promoted it in the city. When people see the whole city for the first time, they are instantly conquered by the lights. As Edison said: We finally put the stars into the light bulb, the light illuminates the darkness, and also illuminates people's hearts. On the other side, however, the tycoon George Westinghouse developed the alternator, and the two fought a series of vicious battles for the power supply system in the United States and the world. The two have their own strengths and weaknesses, occupying the power markets of different cities, and preparing for the winning bid for the upcoming World Expo power project. Although Edison and Westinghouse were secretly fighting each other, the competition was balanced. However, the emergence of a rising star has changed, and he is the electric newcomer Nikola Tesla. There is also a small story here. Tesla was originally an employee of Edison and solved a lot of problems, but Edison did not keep his promise to give him a huge compensation and told Tesla that it was just a joke. Tesla, who lost his trust, quit his job and started his own research, and House on the other side seized the opportunity to join forces with him to improve the AC motor. In the bid-winning campaign for the Expo, the victory unsurprisingly went to their side. In the movie, Edison is no longer a deified character. When he returns to the side of ordinary people, he will also be complacent and unwilling to believe that others can do better. He died and regretted his death, and sometimes even spoke bad words to reporters in order to attack his opponents. Such Edison instead makes the audience feel closer and more real, and is no longer a great inventor. The opponent's winning bid at the World Expo declared that Edison's battle for electricity ended in failure. But Edison's greatness is that he was not defeated by failure, and continued to devote himself to the next invention, and soon invented another new thing that changed the world-movie. In addition, the phonograph invented also promoted human progress. People who fail because of giving up will always have thousands of reasons. People who succeed only do one thing: persevere. In the end, whether to be defeated by failure, or to pat the soil on your body, and brave the road again, the choice is in your hands. Finally, a quote from Edison: Failure is also what I need, it is as valuable to me as success. I don't know the way to do something well until I know the way to do it well. This is true of all geniuses, and we should redouble our efforts to persevere for the dream in our hearts.
