Five-star system, three-and-a-half stars, 7.5 points on 10-point system
Hitchcock's 1958 film predates "The Terror". I watched many movies that introduced many of them that belonged to the "originator" genre. Color film.
The movie does have some flaws. I saw a comment on Baidu that summarized it well in 2009, so I quoted it directly.
1 Tracking is very unprofessional 2 Scotty does not have time for an autopsy 3 The necklace appears too idiot 4 Scotty’s "love" is selfish and outrageous. 5 Michi is completely redundant
But to be honest, I actually feel that the level of horror is average, which is lower than that of "The Terror" and "The Birds". I feel more inclined to love movies. I think the scene at the seaside in the middle of the movie is very good.
Generally speaking, as an early thriller mystery film, the plot is reversed and the characters are full, which can be regarded as a classic.
