Synopsis

Airman Bill (Liam Neeson) is an alcoholic and divorced from his wife after his daughter's illness.

On this day, as usual, he boarded the plane to London secretly guarding the safety of the passengers.

Bill watched every passenger, Muslims, blacks, beautiful women, children, each of which he knew by heart.

Sitting next to him is a red-haired lady named Jane (Julianne Moore) who looks very friendly.

And just like that, the nearly six-hour air trip began.

It was almost late at night when the plane was in the air, and almost all the passengers were asleep, only Bill had to stay awake all the time.

Suddenly, his work phone received an unfamiliar message.

Bill knew that this mobile phone was using a private network, and ordinary people could not access it at all, indicating that the person who sent him the message had a special purpose.

What surprised him even more was that the mysterious person who sent the message claimed that he would kill a person every 20 minutes on the plane unless he sent him $150 million.

Is this a prank or a terrorist? Bill looked around, trying to find the mysterious man.

But a few minutes passed with nothing, and he knew he had a responsibility to protect the safety of his passengers and had to act quickly.

Bill found the captain to report the situation, and arranged for the flight attendant and Jane to help check the surveillance, while he continued to talk to the mysterious man.

This will narrow down and find him.

During the screening process, Bill found that another air policeman, Jack, was suspicious, and he was the only one who kept texting.

So Bill watched his every move on the monitor.

Finally, he found that Jack rushed to the bathroom in a panic, and Bill quickly followed.

When they got to the bathroom, Jack refused to take out his phone, and the two moved their hands.

Because Jack wanted to kill Bill many times, Bill had no choice but to kill Jack, but he found that the information did not stop.

At this time, 20 minutes had passed. It turned out that Jack was the first person that the mysterious man claimed to kill. Bill never thought that it was his own hand.

What surprised him even more was that the remittance account number had been found through the captain's contact with the outside world.

The head of the household turned out to be Bill, that is to say, this is simply a well-planned conspiracy...

Video Analysis

A very good film about the secret room space, the whole film is tense and exciting, the rhythm is tight, and the suspense atmosphere is also very successful. With the addition of powerful actors like Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore, it is full of highlights.

The content of the film is very complete, with desperation, foreshadowing, suspense, and irony. It can be said to be a very neat thriller.

The reason for the film is actually very simple, it is nothing more than a Hollywood-style "heroism", but the director makes a big fuss about the difficulties that the hero needs to overcome. Based on human nature, based on the environment, this is an important reason for the success of this film.

At the beginning of the film, it laid the groundwork for the crisis of trust that the male protagonist Bill would encounter. He lost his family, was alcoholic, and had a very general mental state. Some bad habits of people are always easy to remember, so Bill was later suspected of becoming Hijacker. Of course, this is also a satire on some of the authorities' confusing behavior, such as disrespect for life and a disgusting view of the overall situation.

Secondly, some of Bill's seemingly mysterious actions made everyone suspicious of him except for the heroine Jane who was sitting beside him. In fact, this is completely understandable. People tend to give priority to believing what they see, and it is difficult to empathize. Even Bill had doubts about Jane, so the crisis of confidence is common, like after 9/11, a Muslim is on the same plane with you, wouldn't you be afraid, maybe most people didn't show it, But this kind of "discrimination" is widespread.

So the director arranged for a Muslim to appear in the story. It can be seen that many people have a strange view of him, but he is a doctor who saves lives and heals the wounded. From the expression on his face when he turns away after correcting the bridge of his nose for the police, you can see It's completely wrong to assume a person based on appearance, otherwise the thugs who bombed the plane would have been caught long ago, right?

There are also some shortcomings in the film. For example, the motives of the criminals are too small. Compared with the gorgeous process, a simple echo from the beginning to the end is obviously not enough. Then there is the inexplicable infighting at the end. I think the director wants to deliberately increase some racial conflicts, so the plot sets up infighting, because there is a lack of trust between them. But from the story itself, it doesn't make sense. After all, the plane hijacking must not have been made hastily. How could the two have different goals? So this is where I think the plot doesn't quite make sense. However, the rush at the end sets off the excitement of the process. In short, this movie is the leader of the thriller in recent years.

Trust and solidarity are the keys to solving most of the world's problems, but it's the hardest thing for people to do .
