ps: Of course, the men and women in the article refer to specific objects ;) The
first movie I watched was when I was in high school and listened to a CD of Crazy English, and I almost memorized all the classic lines in it. One of the dialogues is quite impressive.
Harry:" I've been doing a lot of thinking. And the thing is, I love you"
Sally:"What?"
Harry:"I love you"
Sally:"how do you expect me to respond to this?"
Harry: "How about you love me too"
Sally:"How about i'm leaving?"
Hearing Sally's answer, he burst into laughter. After so many years apart, Sally is still as willful and straightforward as when he was young, and what follows is Harry's classic confession that everyone is familiar with.
Remember Sally's girlfriends urging her to get married sooner?
Sally: "I said to myself, 'You deserve more than this, you're thirty one years old...' "
Friends:"And The clock is ticking"
Sally: "No,The clock doesn't really start to tick until you are 36~~"
......
Friends:"I'm saying, that the right man for you might be out there right now, and if you don't grab him someone else will and you'll have spend the rest of your life knowing that someone else is married to your husband."
I like the music in the movie, It Had To Be You at the beginning of the movie, Let's Call the Whole Thing Off is more interesting, and the song If you let me a ear I'll sing you a song played in the restaurant, The last classic "Auld Lang Syne" is ironic, "Should old acquaintances be forgotten, and days of long ago! We will take a cup of kindness yet, For old long ago..." Just like Sally and Harry have gray hair at the end of the film, maybe the screenwriter wants to tell everyone that there is no need to deliberately distinguish between love and friendship between men and women, as long as two hearts are happy to know each other, and grow old together is the most real. This video is also perfect for Christmas and New Years ;)
