One of the most special science fiction films I have ever seen, with an exquisite screenwriter, which integrates knowledge of biology, psychology, history, physics, geography, religion, philosophy and many other disciplines, giving people unlimited imagination.
To be able to have an immortal body like John, and to live forever in the river of time, is the dream of many people. From a cave man to a professor with dozens of doctorates, he has experienced the changes of the times, walked on the historical picture, and became a scholar, saint, and great man who has learned from the past and the present.
However, John most wanted to be a mortal. After a journey of more than 10,000 years, his deepest feeling should be exhaustion. Witnessing the prosperity, decline and demise of different civilizations, witnessing the process of human plunder, expansion, integration and development, and more importantly, watching my relatives and friends grow old and die, leaving him alone alive, is really cruel and heartbreaking.
In the depths of his memory, how many beloved people, intimate friends, and affectionate past events he had had, finally left him like a cloud of smoke, leaving only a touch of melancholy and an endless journey of life. A lonely soul walks alone on the road to the future, the people and things he encounters are just passing by, and no one can accompany him to the end.
Time can't be seen or touched, but it is everywhere, passing by silently. Think of women. Women are afraid of getting old, and use all means to retain the youthful appearance that will eventually pass away. Then, when the person who pleases oneself no longer exists, no matter how beautiful the face is, no one will applaud, only sadness. Youth is short, it is more precious.
We mortals have only a few years of the sun and the moon, and only a few years of sorrows and joys and memories, but they are wonderful and unique. The beauty of time lies in its inevitable passing. Learn to cherish, this life, this world, is enough.
