Neil Gaiman's first film experience

A movie that totally exceeded expectations, full of imagination and little surprises.

There are three passers-by chasing a star fairy who has fallen into the world. The princes want to get the gems on her body to inherit the throne. The witch wants to cut the heart of the star fairy to keep her youthful beauty forever. Show love. The witch built a hotel with witchcraft, entertained the star who was alone in the rain to rest in the hotel, helped her take a bath to relieve the inner folds caused by fatigue, and planned to dig her heart out during the massage. Unexpectedly, just as his hand reached the dagger under the bed, the door of the hotel was knocked on by the prince who stepped forward. In the end, the prince was killed, and the male protagonist who came to save the stars used a Babylonian candle to instantly transfer the two of them into the air. On a stormy day, they were unfortunately netted by a lightning-capturing spacecraft and locked in the underground cabin. But fortunately, the captain was a fierce-looking, tough-minded but feminine, gentle and kind-hearted Guy, who sent them safely to England. A misunderstanding caused the star to be captured by the witch and brought back to the dark castle. The hero went to the rescue again. The lucky flower protects the male protagonist from the witch's magic attack, and the star fairy, who is filled with love, finally releases her shining skills to break through the dark barrier.

There are many cute elements: Billy, a goat who was cursed by a witch to become a human, can only baa and jump with his feet; the tough and brave captain in front of the crew is actually a man who likes to wear a pink dress, paint love makeup, and admire himself dancing tango in front of the mirror. The young girl's heart; the crew actually knew that the captain liked men, but still protected him very much; the tyrannical princes who killed each other, but the souls got along unexpectedly harmoniously and lovingly after death; the stars will change the glow of their skin according to their inner pleasure.

Since it is an adventure story, idealized love and idealized protagonist aura are inevitable.

"You know, when I say love, it's not true. I know a lot about love, I've seen it a lot, I've watched it for hundreds of years. The only thing that keeps me looking at the human world is love. All The war, the pain, the lies, the hatred, these things make me want to turn my head and look no further. I just want to see how human beings love. I mean, you can look in the depths of the far world and you can't find it Something more beautiful than love. So yes, I know love is unconditional. But I also know love is unpredictable, unpredictable, uncontrollable, unbearable. Oddly enough, love can be easily mistaken for It's abomination. What I'm trying to say is, I think I'm in love with you. My body can barely hold my heart, as if it's not mine anymore, it's yours. I'll give it for free if you want it For you, no gifts, no merchandise, no need for me to see what you put in. No need for anything but to let me know that you love me too. Just trade your heart for mine."

I can't find that chicken soup talk, to the effect that you are not a shop boy, you work in a shop, but you are more than a shop boy.

no star can shine with a broken heart

The British humor is a plus to this film, and I'm sorry that the music is worthy of it. Ben Barnes is so handsome~ why not let him take more shots = =

Magic movies are not my thing. . . The teacher of film and television appreciation actually chose Sienna Miller's film twice in a row (although this is a super supporting role...) Yvaine is really a nice name, the actor is not very beautiful, but it has a feeling~ The old witch is too, temperament~

Stardust quotes

  • Primus: [speaking of his father] There was not a horse or beast he could not master. So much so that in his youth, he took to riding a camel... which was comical.

  • Tristan: Don't you ever sleep?

Yvaine: Not at night. May have escaped your notice, genius, but that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Tristan: Yeah, well, it may have escaped yours, but you're not in the sky anymore. Coming out is off the agenda. Shining has been suspended until further notice. Oh, and sleeping during the day is O-U-T. Unless you have some magical ability to sleep while you're walking.

Yvaine: Have you not got it into your thick head yet? I'm not walking anywhere!
