What does this express?

Spoiler, watch carefully! ! !

I changed the rating (originally 3 stars) because this movie has made me uncomfortable these days. 1 star for script + 1 star for actors.

Why should I give such a low score? When I took a shower today, I remembered this movie again.

1) At the end of the movie, I don't know what the director wants to express or what he wants to convey to the audience.

2) If this is a suspense movie, then it is unqualified, because I didn’t pay much attention when the child called the police at first, so I went back and watched it again and remembered "her". As a result, the body was found in the park, so I became the director I didn't believe it when I pointed the finger at Dave. However, the director arranged for Sean to confirm the content of the police call at the end, and then the previous investigation was in vain.

3) When Sean knew that Jimmy sent $500 a month to Ray's family, he should have known that it was Jimmy's atonement for killing Ray (because Jimmy hated Ray). So at the end he said if he wanted to send $500 to Dave's family every month, he should have known that Dave had killed Jimmy, but he did not perform his duties as a police officer.

4) Jimmy, who killed 2 people before, ended up because of his wife’s words, his actions were redeemed and he started a new life. What is the logic? I do not deny that such things happen in real life, but such endings should not be expressed in movies.

5) The plot of the whole movie is actually very simple, it's just an ordinary random accidental murder, but the added complexity of the plot makes the whole story so awkward. What I would rather see is Xiao Lei knowing his father's revenge after the death of Jimmy rather than letting Dave, who had a miserable childhood, continue his miserable life.

The above is purely subjective and not malicious.
