The only things that matter in life are love and work

One of my goals in life is to be a successful woman with a career like Jules

To be someone who does things like Ben and has a perfect way of doing things is second of my life goals.

Jules, a successful entrepreneur under the ceiling of the workplace, is busy with work every day, but has no time to take care of her family. She will lose herself temporarily in the dilemma of love and career. Fortunately, she has a lost husband and a long-term friend, Ben, who will give her timely support. No one is perfect, but everyone has to find their own balance.

What's precious about Ben is that he doesn't give up his pursuit of life and love just because he "becomes an old man": he's easy-going, humorous and well-dressed, with an old school gentlemanly demeanor. With decades of work experience, he does not rely on the old and sells the old. He helps the younger generation around him in a comfortable way, and finally becomes the boss's "life mentor". At the age of 70, you can still be attracted to the girl you like, and you can still pursue love bravely.

There are laughs in the film but not abrupt, and Anne Hathaway looks good in anything.

The Intern quotes

  • Fiona: [Fiona is giving him a massage at his desk and is getting rather intimate] I'm Fiona, the house masseuse. Love that there's another oldie but goodie here... How's that, Ben?

    Ben: Oh, hmm, oh boy

Davis: [Hands him a newspaper to cover his lap] Here you go... You're not as old as I thought you were.

  • Jules: [Alluding to age difference] I'm glad you also see the humor in this.

Ben: [Smiles wryly] It would be hard not to.
