The plot interspersed in the movie is better than the original book's slow growth (at least jo rejects Teddy, Teddy and Amy, jo and the professor, the heart-wrenching process, with more details and smoother). But when it comes to casting, the four sisters feel okay; Emma is too delicate, which is a bit different from the mag you imagined; although Amy is indeed said to be a little fat in the original book, but in the movie, she looks a little strong rather than plump; when papa appears, she dances.
