kill people, dance

I decided to watch this old Guy Ritchie movie because of the line "Can I come?" in The Gentlemen.

The hard-hitting gangster films and the flowing handsome guys are the hallmarks of Guy Ritchie. The film tells the story of Russian gangsters breaking into the London real estate market, colluding with local gang leaders to avoid approval fees, resulting in a series of mutual debt collection stories where you owe me money and I owe you.

Rock and gang are both cool and black tones, but it is difficult to link them together, because the former is socially mixed and the latter is young youth. After eight years of marriage between the director and Madonna, he bid farewell to youth and romance and entered alternate middle age. The plot in the movie is still a multi-line transaction around real estate development, which is connected to various interest groups, but because of the rush of rock youth, brokers, nightclubs and the world of gangsters, it seems a bit chaotic and scattered, not dense enough.

But the black helper Arsh, as a sober and calm adult, tells the cause and effect of the interests of adults, and Johnny, the second-generation rich man in rock and roll, as a literary and artistic youth depicts the impermanence and illusory life.

Yeah, this movie is so emotional. If the plot of the movie is too dense, there will be too many lively plots interspersed with simple emotions, but it is difficult to spread emotions. Feelings need time to brew, to pave the way for panic and sweetness, and even wordless regret and love.

So this movie is very emotional. The two bastards are going to have a carnival at night. Tom Hardy says "I want you", and the brother is about to become a lover. They are frightened and anxious, and they can't help but follow with their eyes and open their mouths to refuse, openly ambiguous. The charming Stella, smart and greedy, is the queen in front of the love-minded Russian gang boss, and finally gets revenge.

He loves him, he loves her, there are only a few small clips in the movie, but they are brightly imprinted in my heart, because they are too struggling and appear precious and beautiful. But only the drug-addicted and confused Johnny showed his ignorant, fearless, uninhibited coldness, thinking that he would not survive for five seconds, but finally became the new boss of the gang who cleared the level.

Hey, the old is gone and the new is coming, some immaturity is gone, and some love is gone.

RocknRolla quotes

  • Archie: ...and he'll be in there like swimwear.

  • Archie: Bandy, you ever ask a stupid question like that again, see Danny there? He's gonna slap you.

Bandy: Sorry Arch, I was, I was just trying to use initiative.

    Archie: Danny, slap him.

    [Danny smacks Bandy]

Archie: With the right, Danny, properly.

[Danny smacks Bandy with the right hand]

Archie: No, no, no, NO! Come on, do it properly with the back of the right hand!

Danny: What is this, a tennis match, Arch?

    Archie: Slap him!

    [Danny slaps Bandy]

Archie: Oh, for fu... Like this.

    [slaps Bandy himself]

Archie: Now if you can master a slap like that, there's no need for your clients to hold back. They will open up like a fountain, full of words. No need for strong violence, no no. They're transported back to their childhoods. Putty in your hands. Ask Bandy. Look, thinks he's back at school.

Danny: But he never went to school, Arch.

Archie: You want a slap as well, Daniel, eh? Now, if a slap don't work, you cut 'em or you pay 'em. But you keep your receipts, 'cause this ain't the Mafia. Now get out there 'n look for the painting!
