Maybe the people you don't know are your parents

This movie is quite unpopular. To be honest, I went to see Xiao Tang. After watching the whole movie, the plot is very gentle and the context is very simple. The only clue that drives the plot is whether the judge's father murdered, or was he blamed by someone with superb killing skills? Also, how would Lawyer Xiao Tang deduce and solve the case to get his father off the hook? How to perfectly help Dad win the lawsuit in court? However. . . . . Sadly, none of these are available! The director didn't even tell us the truth about the case at the time. But even if it didn't, this movie still made me want to watch it.

Here's a serious spoiler:

At the beginning of the movie, although lawyer Xiao Tang and his judge father are father and son, they have deep cracks from childhood to adulthood. Attorney Xiao Tang hated that his father was high at home, and everyone had to listen to his attitude. At graduation, when he did something wrong, my dad never paid attention to him

But when Xiao Tang's mother died and his father was accused, Xiao Tang slowly changed. He slowly discovered that he actually didn't understand his father at all, and even discovered how important the principle of honesty he was in the eyes of his father was. In communication again and again, Dad always insisted that he would only say what he knew, and refused to do any technical extrication.

When he found out that his father had concealed that he had end-stage bowel cancer, this was the turning point of Xiao Tang's change in the whole play. When he found out that his father told the court why he should forgive the prisoner, because the prisoner reminded the father of his own son When I was young, this orgasm really shook me.

In the end, the father was convicted of manslaughter, but lawyer Xiao Tang really entered the heart of the father and awakened his understanding and tolerance for his father.

I think this film is really worth watching for young people who are struggling outside. Sometimes the paranoia and deep-rooted ideas of parents can just make us not lose the principle of being a human being. Sometimes you may want to change your parents with your own point of view. At a certain stage in your life, you will gradually discover that the people you didn't know the most were your parents.

Why does CCTV6 use "Judge Dad"? Dad is obviously more imposing, and can better reflect the father-son relationship. For movies about father-son love and reconciliation between father and son, I only serve "Big Fish".

The Judge quotes

  • Hank Palmer: I don't buy it. It can't be the first time someone's insulted you. It's your job. Why did you go easy on him the first time? Of all the judges in Indiana, the one with the tightest... You gave him 30 days. He threatened her, discharged a firearm at her residence. That's six months. A year. Easy. What was your reasoning? A hundred and 80 days, that's solid. Maybe he'd have cooled off. Maybe he doesn't kill Hope. Maybe we're not here. Of all the years you sat on that bench... all the people that stood before you, the leniency... the understanding, the free ride goes to Mark Blackwell? How do you explain that lapse in judgment?

Judge Joseph Palmer: I looked at him and saw you. Same willful disobedience... same recklessness. I looked at him and saw my middle son.My little boy. My little boy. I watched him cry right there. I wanted to put my arms around him and tell him it didn't have to be like this. I wanted someone to help him... like I'd want someone to help my boy... if he lost his way. It was my chance to be... that someone. Is that so much to ask? Maybe so. Maybe so.

Hank Palmer: I have memories. Of us. You, me. Then I don't. How come? Why?

Judge Joseph Palmer: Why? Why? I looked at you and I saw him.

[Hank closes his eyes and a tear fell]

Judge Joseph Palmer: [the judge closed his eyes in despair]

  • Judge Joseph Palmer: Lisa played hide the pickle with someone else.
