After reviewing it, I found that the subtitles translated from the iQiyi version I watched had too many problems, and did not express much of the original film's meaning, which was a waste of such a good film. Ilias respects the chief, is courageous, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. Such a person who combines good qualities in one body is not loved by Quan Lian (only loved by his own subordinates); instead, it is Barnes, cruel, Ruthless, unrespectful, and terrific, everyone feared him, relied on him, and pleased him. Instead, in order to flatter him, he said that Ulysses "think he is the savior". The reality is often like this. Those who have good morals have not received friendly feedback from the society, and even have been framed and died in a rain of bullets like Ilias. Everyone bullies the soft and fears the tough, and even the chief bullies the honest. Chris was spit on twice in the movie. One time, Chris rescued a Vietnamese girl who was raped by others. Others spit on Chris and then spit at him. Another time after Barnes killed Ulysses, he came to Ulysses' platoon to talk to them and spit at Chris. There are always such people who do all the bad things and explain their logic of explaining morals and ethics to you without embarrassment. They still don’t forget to spit at you afterwards, as if you were the one who did the wrong thing, as if good people should follow them. It's the same as fluent and dirty.
Many characters are portrayed in depth in the movie "Field Platoon". Because of this, the two-hour length of such a story seems to be a bit short. Many Chinese audiences have not watched the entire movie nor clarified the relationship between the characters and the characters. Personality, not even understanding the names of the characters, which is really a shame.
