Abandoning the discipline of human cognition by the socialization process, let’s reconsider a question: Is human loyalty to a spouse a socially implanted concept or an instinctive behavior?
As a biological instinct and desire, is "sex" necessarily related to "love"? If falling in love is an uncontrollable act rather than an optional decision, then should "mental infidelity" be condemned even if the moral restraint keeps the body from derailing?
Then the question becomes - do we have a real free will?
I can't give a "reasonable"/"satisfactory" answer, fortunately we still have those two invisible hands behind human civilization to push society forward, everything happens organically, and the inappropriate will eventually be taken care of by nature Selection eliminated. Maybe what we can do is to open your eyes and mind, keep learning and accepting new things, don't be bound by the old cognitive model, so as to constantly adapt to the changes of the world and bravely embrace impermanence.
As discussed in this film, the unity of love, sex and intimacy is the most perfect state. Don't rush to find a fixed answer, let the answer that belongs to you emerge naturally.
