May the beautiful soul never be let down

The essence is still a hero movie + an action movie, the rhythm is well controlled, and the action scenes are also perfect. But what impressed me the most was the plot rather than the action scene.

First thing first, I hope such a story will not happen to anyone. May the beautiful soul never be let down.

——The dividing line between anger and despair——

The setting of this film is too desperate. Innocent villages in Africa are slaughtered. Righteous soldiers are deceived into being slaughter and then exterminated. Patriotism is used as a scapegoat. The truth is so close that the murderer is still at ease. And the people thousands of miles away cannot get the truth or see the facts, and their blood is buried just like that, leaving nothing behind.

From a point of view, I cannot see that the hero has been wronged and used. Perhaps because I have never had such courage and determination myself, I respect and admire such people. They lived and died for the country and the people (whether deceived or not), endured the sorrow of the fall of their friends, and moved forward with heavy burdens. I know the world is unfair, but it is too bullshit to let such a soul be defiled.

When Swagger was alone against the whole world, he looked like a contemporary martial arts fighter. When I watched Jin Yong back then, I liked the loneliness of holding the sword in the world, punishing evil and promoting good with one's own power, but I didn't realize that the core itself was a tragedy. How sorrowful is an era in which heroes must sacrifice their lives to punish evil and promote good. It is the incompetence of the system, the despicability of those in power, and the ugliness of human nature that make the people have to stand up on their own to protect their rights, and that assassination replaces trial, vengeance replaces justice, and despair replaces faith.

Yes, despair. This story is also a tragedy in the end. Swagger, who had fought for the country and the people on the battlefield, might never have thought that one day his gun would be directed at his compatriots, and his justice could only be lynching. He eventually lost his faith in his motherland. And even if the minds of interest groups die, the truth will never become clear to the world. In the end, where else can Swagger go? Maybe go to the Middle East to be a mercenary and spend a life that I never believed in alcohol and gunfire.

  • Nick Memphis: [sips coffee, chokes, coughs]

    Mr. Rate: [smiling] Good coffee?

    Nick Memphis: Yeah.

  • Mr. Rate: Would've been a bad job to take, though.

    Nick Memphis: How come?

Mr. Rate: Whoever took that shot's probably dead now. That's how conspiracy works. Them boys on the grassy knoll, they were dead within three hours. Buried in the damn desert. Unmarked graves out past Terlingua.

Nick Memphis: And you know this for a fact?

Mr. Rate: Still got the shovel!
