There is really no need to expect much of this classic sequel. The narrative following Stephen King’s original worldview cannot satisfy Kubrick’s "The Shining" fans. It was quite fun to watch. After the first ten minutes of cosplay with a little discomfort, I felt okay. One of the interesting things about this movie is that it looks like a well-made horror drama, and it doesn't feel much cinematic.
