In order not to blog this review, let's say something about the movie itself.
In a way, romance equals unrealistic. It's a romantic movie, the plot is romantic, and so are the shots. Such a movie is very comfortable to watch because it doesn't require you to think about reality. It's the easy-to-understand kind, where you can see what's going on in the heart of the protagonist at a given moment (a movie like "The Sun Also Rises" is full of metaphors and imagery, I'm afraid you can't do that).
The classic shot is the section of William passing through the downtown area of Notting Hill (I saw someone commenting that after passing through the four seasons, the constant is missing, and it is almost the same). There are also many cold scenes, such as the part where William's roommate chooses clothes, and another example when a tall man comes to William's small bookstore to buy Dickens novels, which are very interesting.
The music is also very good, I personally like "when you say nothing at all". The other song "aren't no sunshine when she's gone" is also good. It seems to be there in the deleted comment, but it doesn't seem to be there after all. . .
Finally, let's talk about the content. I once heard that Notting Hill is going to make a sequel. The theme is probably that although William and Anna finally came together, the disparity in their status still caused some divisions and integrations between them. I personally think that this kind of plot arrangement is detrimental to this romantic movie. It exposes many real problems for everyone to see, which is not good. In reality, such "inappropriate" people will undoubtedly not come together, at least in my opinion, and it should be. And such a sequel has not been launched for a long time, perhaps because of this consideration.
