If you were to ask me which of the 2018 F1 season was better or this documentary, I think I would probably choose the latter without hesitation.
I've watched F1 for many years, and I know a thing or two about the work behind it, but since Mercedes started to dominate the field, the game has indeed been far less exciting than it used to be. Just when the enthusiasm of the fans began to wane, this documentary was born.
As an audience whose main cognitive mode is perceptual, I have never formed a unified evaluation standard for documentaries, but after watching this play, I think, if a documentary can bring you a new understanding of the objects it records If you understand it more deeply, then it must be an excellent documentary. Just as after watching the pulsation of the earth, I seem to know a brand new earth, and after watching this documentary, I seem to have entered a brand new arena.
The first shock to me came from the documentation of the mid-level team situation (in part because Mercedes and Ferrari refused to shoot). I know that Haas can't do anything on the track, but I don't know the enormous pressure that every member of the team faces. I know Leclerc's inspirational story, but I have never heard him face to face with his ideals... This documentary brings us a new perspective, showing the dramatic conflict contained in the sport of F1 perfectly and calmly in front of us.
Apart from this rare perspective, the show's capture of details is more moving. Before the press conference, Horner's sentence "Is Silbert here?" echoed Silbert's many sarcastic responses at the meeting. I couldn't hide a sly smirk. Leclerc said of his ideal of joining Ferrari: "I In my heart, Ferrari is the ideal team, and my godfather Bianchi (who died in a car accident) had a great hope of joining them." I wiped the corners of my eyes again.
Now that the 2019 season has come to an end, and the 2020 season winter test has begun, I am very happy to see the most exciting F1 season in many years, and I am looking forward to the release of the second season of the show. made a lot of good movies. Finally, let's remember the heroes who passed away in the 19th season Thank you Charlie, Thank you Antoine, Danke Niki.
Digression: At the moment of the epidemic, as an anxious high school third party, I will inevitably have something wrong. I welcome criticism and correction.
