Don't expect miracles, be your own god!

I watched it when I was young. I was reading "Word of Mouth and Box Office" a few days ago. The book mentioned the film many times, so I turned it out and watched it again today. The film is rich in imagination, clear narrative, and has a typical Hollywood three-act test structure. The theme expressed by the screenwriter and director is also very clear. Although time has passed so long, the film can still impress a part of the audience. The movie is a lot stronger. It seems that a good movie must first be a good story!

I watched it a few years ago. Anyway, when I look at the poster, I think it should be a good film, which is a spoof of Genesis. After reading it, I think it's average, and I haven't spoofed anything new and interesting. . .

Bruce Almighty quotes

  • Bruce: [first lines; over black; as "Man"] Ally, can we get a recap?

Ally Loman: You remember the Kowolskis. They're owned the shop for 30 years, and they are attempting to set a record by making Buffalo's largest cookie. And... you have to wear this.

Bruce: [as "Man"] A hair net?

    Ally Loman: Health department.

Bruce: [as "Man"] You're kidding me.

Ally Loman: If you're around the cookie, you have to have it on. It's the law.

Bruce: [as "Man"] I just did the hair. The hair is perfect. All right, give it to me.

Bruce: [cut in to Kowolski's Bakery in Buffalo; The Man, reporting for the Buffalo TV station, rises up with the hair net on his head] God, why do you hate me?

  • Bruce: [repeated line; when the weather is nice] B-E-A-utiful.
