Something we are all waiting for

The story takes place in the airport. The whole story takes place in the airport.

I really admire the screenwriter for shaping the framework of this story. I really can’t think of the six elements of the narrative that can be linked with such a cause; at the same time, I am grateful that the director chose Tom Hanks to interpret this role, because he is really the best choice, there are some. A-Gump's influence, but he is such a honest and honest person in his heart. I just don't know if his horoscope in the play is intentional, and his smile is always so obscure but sincere.

A man who came to New York not for a green card or for sightseeing or for business trips. He was carrying a peanut can and carrying his luggage. An accident happened suddenly. He started his life at the airport for more than nine months. The turmoil in the motherland made him extremely painful, but he still had to survive and live in this strange place. So he had fun, struggled with the "villains" (fortunately, the characters' good and evil are not so clear, the conflicts are not fierce, this is just a relaxed and warm movie), generously helping others, harvesting understanding, harvesting friendship, harvesting love.

I think that love is just an episode, which is meant to sublimate the theme and is essential. Emilia's "fate" is just to allow the plot to continue normally, otherwise it will become a bridge for lovers to finally get married.

The end of the movie is very exciting: the scene where the cleaner Pugeta blocks the plane is really shocking! How much courage is needed for this! From the big point of view, it can be seen as Victor redeemed his soul. From the small point of view, it may be regarded as a dedication for a sincere friendship.

No matter how indifferent between people, if you get along with one person for a long time and get such a rare joy, you will be nostalgic when facing parting. At the moment of seeing off Victor, the entire airport has never been so humane. Most of the films starring in Tom Hanks are easy to find the human glory hidden in them.

Victor walked out of the airport, looked at the snow in New York, and smiled. Not obvious, but his eyes interpret all the turbulent emotions.

He went out, she walked in. The episode ends.

For Victor, what is the end of happiness? In this film, you may constantly change your inner answer: Is it to help others gain love? Did you meet your own love? Did you finally get a one-day visa in New York? Or did he fulfill his last wish for his father?

In the end, the answer is-home.
This time he smiled warmly and calmly.

The Terminal quotes

  • Frank Dixon: Do you know, one of my own men came up to me the other day, asked me if I wanted to join the big pool. Look at 'em, look at 'em, look at 'em. Place a bet on when Navorski was gonna leave this airport. Have you heard about this?

Thurman: [nodding] I have January 3rd.

  • Amelia: I just keep injesting these poisonous men until I make myself sick.

Viktor Navorski: You're not sick, Amelia, no. You're a little far-sighted.
