I like every character

I just watched the 2002 American drama "firefly", I really like it, space cowboy drama, every character in it has a distinct personality, I like it very much, captain Mal, first officer Zoe, driver Wash, mechanic Kaylee, mercenary Jayne, and Meiji Inara, as well as the priest Book, the doctor Simon and his sister, the genius and crazy girl River, who later boarded the ship. Mal is decisive but very straight, especially when facing Inara, his mouth is so cheap and funny. Jayne is a big guy who is so cute and funny. It's funny to see Simon being bullied by everyone. This is a western film set in space. It tells the story of Mal and his crew on the adventure of a remote planet far away from the central planet in the "Silence" spacecraft. Each episode is a separate story. It is very exciting. You can make a movie in one episode, such as robbing a train, being a bounty hunter, going to the central planet to steal drugs, being caught by the federal government, space ghost ships, etc. River's story should be the clue of the whole play, involving the secrets of the federal government; Book's identity is also a mystery, definitely not just as simple as a pastor; Mal and Zoe were former comrades in the independent army and lost the battle with the federal army. Modeled after the War of Independence. In addition, the emotional line between Mal and Inara, Simon and Kaylee is very exciting, and the audience is anxious after watching one season. It's only been one season though, which is a shame. The protagonist and supporting roles of this show have distinct and real personalities, and they all have online IQs. Even the supporting roles are impressive. For example, the fake bride Saffron, I think she is very powerful. That episode made me laugh to death. It was funny when I got on the boat, and Inara's best friend in the penultimate episode was so pretty. In addition, the world view of this play is a future world where Chinese and English are the common languages, and the nondescript Chinese that pops up from time to time is very funny. The whole drama focuses not on science fiction, but more on human nature, society, politics, etc., persistence and trust, the pursuit of freedom, and even some philosophical implications such as anarchism, a bit like One Piece, in short, it suits my taste.

Firefly quotes

  • opening song: Take my love, take my land / Take me where I cannot stand / I don't care, I'm still free / You can't take the sky from me / Take me out to the black / Tell 'em I ain't comin' back / Burn the land and boil the sea / You can't take the sky from me / There's no place I can be / Since I found serenity / But you can't take the sky from me

  • Agent McGuinness: I'm only doing my job.

Mal: It's why you took the job.
