In my opinion, this is the story of a kind man and a beautiful woman.
The woman says beauty doesn't bring her good luck, just like you and your kindness. If there was no war, women would marry an Italian, have a few children, and men cheat. This kind of life sounds cliché and happy on the way two people escape.
In the first half, people in this mountain village were used to guns and guns, and only saw soldiers hiding in the trenches and shooting. Who is the enemy? Why fight? Not sure. This kind of muddled war is the norm in war.
After the ceasefire, the hero goes home and gets married. People sang and danced, and the Yugoslav gymnastics champion was desperate to get married. She was already mentally ill during the war.
However, a team of special forces rained blood from the sky and washed the village. The surviving women and men began to flee. They were planning their future lives, and they were about to get out of danger after untold hardships, but the woman was bombed to death.
The ending has an ancient romance. In order to remember this woman and her story, the man survived, became a monk, and missed the woman for the rest of his life.
Such endings are the romance of our age. We need to love someone with our whole life.
If there is only love, this drama will be humiliated. An excellent work of art must not only tell a love story.
There must be a reflection on human nature here: there is praise and criticism. The context in which these are placed is up to the author's considerations. And this drama is against the background of this modern "war". Ordinary people have suffered great harm because of the war that changed the original trajectory of their lives. This is easier to write. So I don't rate it very high.
