Rattlesnakes, Poets and Love

The main thing that attracted me to this movie in the first place was Woody Harrelson, an excellent actor who received so many nominations but was never crowned emperor. Especially like his performances in "True Detective" and "Three Billboards", he seems to be especially suitable for western style movies...

About the lens

At the beginning of the movie, the slight shaking of the lens made me extremely uncomfortable and thought I was watching the gun version. The director passed a lot of flashback shots and strong color contrasts (mainly red, green and blue) that hit my eyes again and again. It's so confusing that it makes me feel like I'm on drugs. That's why I probably prefer "The Shining Killer" to the name "Born to Kill", which is obviously more appropriate.

rattlesnake

The traditional meaning of the snake in the West is the incarnation of the devil Satan, and the snake often refers to all kinds of bad luck, death and misfortune. The rattlesnake is a tube-toothed venomous snake most commonly found in North America, the woodgrain rattlesnake of the eastern and central United States. People can also experience hallucinations after being attacked by a rattlesnake. There are also many scenes of rattlesnakes in the film to symbolize the transformation of the two, and the snake-shaped ring they used for their engagement. When the two were arrested, the snake-shaped element can be found throughout the entire movie, such as the double snake entangled in the taxi supermarket.

poets and love

Mickey called Mallory a poet twice, and their love was indeed as romantic as poetry. Murder is random, there are no rules, no goals, only thoughts and thoughts. Compared with the hypocritical and selfish warden, the blackened and bloodthirsty police officers, and the reporters who pretend to be crazy and sell stupid for the ratings, their frankness is more clean.

Mallory left her dolls, pink suitcases at the Grand Canyon, all the excesses behind, it's time to grow up.

Mickey: Mal? Mallory: Yes? Mickey: Will you marry me? Mallory: Of course, I'll marry you. I've been waiting for you to say that for so long . Where we gonna get married? Mickey: Right here, Mal. This is our church.

"We'll be living in all the oceans now.

Natural Born Killers quotes

  • Dwight McClusky: How's a fella like you get to be involved with psychos, anyways?

Jack Scagnetti: Actually Dwight, I'd recommend having your mother killed by one. After that happened I developed a rather keen interest in the subject.

  • [Guns aimed at each other]

Mickey: Looks like we got us a Mexican Standoff.

Jack Scagnetti: We've had this day from the beginning, huh, Mickey? Now slide that shotgun over here. Put your hands on your head and your head against the floor!

Mickey: Or what, you'll wound me? I could blow you in half and you know it.

Jack Scagnetti: I never wounded anything in my life. I got you locked right between the eyes, Mickey. I've had you locked from the jump, you phony!
