a little embarrassing

I haven't read the book, but just watching the movie has a strong feeling: the story is very full, but I still feel that it is not detailed. This shows that the original story must be huge and complex. To put it bluntly, what a complex story can be told in two and a half hours? So far, maybe only Nolan can fill two and a half hours of information into like six hours, which is not normal, so when I saw the execution of this movie in terms of storytelling, I basically gave passed.

The story line is obviously dominated by the disappearance of a wealthy businesswoman, and the structure strictly corresponds to the life experience of the heroine (she and the missing woman are both "against male power" + "suffering rape"), supplemented by the male lead's financial investigation case, obviously this The proportions are appropriate for a movie.

So aside from this completely passing drama outline, how do other factors perform?

There is nothing to comment on the lens language and aesthetic texture. It is definitely not bad, and it does not feel too godlike. It is an aesthetic that meets the general level of Sweden.

What about the theme? In fact, the main problem lies in this topic. I just feel that this story is too bloody, and I feel that the main creator is afraid that the audience will be short of blood and will deduct ten basins and ten basins on your head. Anyway, Swedish society is so unfair, and women are so abused. . . Of course, I'm not denying the objective existence of women's unfair status, even in a more developed country like Sweden, what I want to say is. . . The best way to express "women encounter injustice" is to objectively present the real injustices that can happen every day, not extreme cases, let alone putting together n extreme cases and portraying them as if they are from all walks of life All overgrown with rapists.

Of course, since it is adapted from a commercial novel, it is understandable, who will come to see you if you don't make a gimmick.

    These people are so violent

A suspense film with very clear clues, the murder pictures that have been trying to create an atmosphere are not as powerful as some classic psychological suspense films. But this movie is sold because of the heroine, no doubt, and the gloomy and depressive atmosphere unique to Northern Europe can give people a sense of substitution. After watching it, I felt inexplicably depressed. .

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo quotes

  • Dirch Frode: What can you tell me about Blomkvist?

Lisbeth Salander: Everything is in the report.

    Dirch Frode: The short version.

Lisbeth Salander: Blomkvist got the nickname Kalle Blomkvist when he solved a bank robbery in the 80s. He's a very public person with no major secrets. Read the newspaper articles.

Dirch Frode: But does he have any secrets?

    Lisbeth Salander: Everyone has secrets.

  • Mikael Blomkvist: [about Martin Vanger] For fuck's sake, Lisbeth. His father trained him to murder at age sixteen. Anyone would be sick in the head with that kind of upbringing.

Lisbeth Salander: Shut up about the victimisation! He almost killed you. He raped and murdered and he enjoyed it. He had the same chances as us to choose what he wanted to be. He was no victim. He was a sadistic motherfucker who hated women.
