Space is a composite of nothingness and poetry

"Interstellar Exploration" 7.5/10 As the only Hollywood hardcore space film that can be watched on the big screen in recent years, this film inherits the fine tradition of space films from 2001 to the first person - extensive use of stable and smooth composition and lens movement , with a passionate and distant symphony, intertextually reflect the tenacity and loneliness of human beings with the poetry and nothingness of space. Brad Pitt contributed a wonderful one-man show, entangled in the vortex of mission and family, no less than McConaughey's performance in "Interstellar."

The overall plot is similar to the low-profile male main version of "Contact in Time" + the ultra-low-profile space version of "Apocalypse Now". Although the audiovisual performance is first-class, there are many regrettable places in the rhythm of the plot and the expression of the theme. In addition to the inexplicable action scenes that the producers asked to join, the climax of the confrontation between father and son was also a complete mess. It was supposed to be a conflict of ideas between a father who is persistent in space exploration, representing civilization and rationality, and a son who is persistent in finding his father and returning home and guarding the warmth of humanity, but in the end it turned into an understatement of reconciliation and "father murder". Although a lot of inner OS in the film helps to understand the plot, it undoubtedly weakens the sense of isolation and the inner entanglement of the protagonist that the film intentionally creates. Overall, James Gray is not yet equipped to balance commercial and literary, but his poetic audiovisual design and bold space-themed exploration are still admirable.

It is a pity that the domestic box office of this film is less than 30 million (although it is mainly a problem with the film, it is the first time to see the show of releasing Blu-ray resources the day before its release), and the IMAX version is even more pitiful. I'm afraid it's hard to see such beautiful hardcore space films in domestic cinemas in recent years, let's watch and cherish them.

7 points, for some reason, after entering space, everyone became philosophical. A person's space trip will magnify the sense of loneliness even more, especially placing the individual in the endless universe, which has become the biggest charm of the film. However, the most loneliness and the coldness behind it, I always feel that it does not fit the theme of finding a father and the relationship between father and son, which is a little strange. I still prefer last year's Gosling movie. Of course, Pete is still handsome.

2019 Science Fiction Film of the Year, Space Edition [Lost City of Z]. 1. Explore personal loneliness and repressed feelings against the background of the vast and deep space (same as [The First Man on the Moon]), when endless scientific pursuits and rational work bring people into pure alienation and void, only people can Emotions between people are the way to salvation. 2. The combination of Kodak film, NASA data and JPL photos, plus the [Interstellar] photographer and the [Arrival] soundtrack, truly make every frame as beautiful as a dream and incomparably real. 3. The quiet blue of Neptune is so beautiful that it makes me cry; the lonely back in the dim dust of Mars is just like [Blade Runner 2049]; the car chase gunfight scene on the moon is the first in film history; mutant gorillas, out-of-control fighting And the soothing room where birds and sea flowers and plants are transformed is also full of charm. 4. The lens of weightless floating and spacewalk push and pull is supported by [gravity]. 5. Pete's narration is so affectionate and direct, and several psychological tests also buckled the various changes in the relationship with his father (imitation-pursuit-rejection-resistance-reconciliation-transcendence). 6. Although there is the hardest and most touching [Interstellar] and the predecessors, Gray still shoots science fiction in a new style. (9.0/10)
