"Hell's Anatomy" and "Death's Disease"
2007-6-30 I

don't know what the original text means, such a naked movie, translated as "Hell's Anatomy". It's so real that it's the same as the literary version of A-film. I don't feel disgusting about the disgusting scenes in the legend. I dare to break the taboo. I just think that it is more suitable for men to watch. Why hell? Why Anatomy? There is a story in "Ten Days Talk" where the priest became lustful and wanted to take possession of a wealthy girl who came to seek Taoism, so he did that kind of thing to her. The rich girl didn't understand, and when she asked why, the priest said that there is hell in women, and ML is to beat the devil into hell. I don't know if the translator has seen "Ten Days Talk". I would rather believe that the word "hell" in this film is a metaphor for a certain part of a woman's body, so it can explain why there are so many naked and direct scenes: in order to tell men , What the hell is a woman.
Women are morbid because their bodies are "crippled", which is measured by men's standards, acquiescing to their perfection and must admit their incompleteness. But why can't the standard be reversed? If women are assumed to be perfect by default, men are "superfluous". Sick or not, it's the standard that's wrong. Therefore, since the beginning of the patriarchal society in history, men have not seriously understood what a woman is. Taboo, they are incomplete, witches, wicked women, weak, the root of all evil, but they don't see, the root of evil is not outside, but inside, if they look evil, it must be because the root of evil is long ago exists in their hearts. Eve was made of Adam's rib. Even if he was tempted and fallen by the snake, how could Adam say such irresponsible words "it's not me, it's her"? If you do not admit your sin, you do not admit yourself. When you can't see your own ugliness clearly, it doesn't matter if you know your own perfection, everyone is incomplete.
On the way to know themselves, women seem to need to know more. Of course, this is only a generalization, and there are special circumstances.
On the second day after I watched the movie, Brother Sheep finally helped me to borrow Duras's "Disease of Death" under the threat of my pH rising. Similar stories, what similar stories! A woman takes money from a man, comes to the man's room every night, the same white sheets, the sea, the rough waves, the man's bewildered, overwhelmed, restless eyes, lost in thought. He contracted the disease of death. The authors are all French women, and I believe that connection is inevitable. Either she borrowed from her, or she inspired her.
Death is taboo, so it becomes a disease, and women are also taboo and a disease. In this logic, women are equivalent to death. The phobia in a man's heart is such that in front of such a weak body, he is afraid of losing his strength, losing his life, being covered by yin and yang, and becoming an unrecognized existence. Fear of women is the same as fear of death. They are both afraid of loss. From the lack of something, seeing loss, feeling loss, until fear. Women silently become the givers of life and the spokesmen of death. I always thought that the skeleton wrapped under the black robe and holding the sickle was a "he", but unexpectedly, it was a "she".
When traveling, a girl who lived with her said that she had a stomachache when she had her period, and was embarrassed to explain to her classmates that she did not bring sanitary pads that day. As a result, when the get out of class was over, a boy quietly gave her a package, opened it, and found it was the most needed item. As a result, she was with this man because he knew her needs so well that he knew what she needed without her having to say it. I said he must be a fatherless man who has been living with his mother. She said yes. Yes, that mother is the source of his ability to break through the taboos, because the taboos set by these men are all passed on to their sons through their mothers.
Why are there differences between men and women? Physically it cannot be overturned, but mentally it can. You can't know yourself without knowing the other, because everyone is a twin, and the other half will come to fill your gaps and become a whole person. Without comparison, one cannot see the beauty and ugliness of oneself, nor the beauty and ugliness of others. The love between Eve and Adam may be born in the process of observing each other curiously, and the snake just promotes the development of things, when they look at each other, touch, feel, listen, and finally realize how much they are. Lonely, how need others to fill the vacancy in life that is inherently insufficient.
Sex in the movie has become more and more explicit. When Duras wrote "The Disease of Death", he imagined turning it into a drama, but it was not completed. Those naked and profound fragments can only exist in words. Without Duras' article, I would have given this film a 4 out of 5, and now I can only give it a 3. Although more radical and with more obvious traces of feminism, it is far less profound than Duras. You know, it took that woman a lifetime to understand why she was a woman before she wrote those words.
