Perhaps the unsatisfactory ending is satisfactory.
It's still a story of little people, but don't forget, we are all little people.
The smaller the person, the more real; the more trivial, the more real.
Those perfect imperfections, those happy sorrows, those forbearing helplessness... Such talents really exist.
Perhaps the hero and heroine were not together in the end, it was destined. Just like the necklace Napoleon gave Josephine, those thousand fountains... are all destined.
Even so, I still hope that after the long-distance running, I will be waiting for happiness at the terminal station...
