Since it is a pirated disc (I will never promote everyone to buy pirated discs), the sound effects and pictures are particularly poor. A lot of subtitles are not available, I basically read it half ignorantly. I think if I can see the original version, then I will like this movie very much.
Don't watch this movie with personal emotions. Although it is the Imperial Japanese Army, not everyone absolutely believes in it. So there is a counter-example in the film, and that is Kazuya Ninomiya, a soldier who feels desperate, a soldier who does not want to participate in the war. But in a catastrophe like the battlefield, who really wants to join the war?
This truth is revealed in the final pile of letters in the film.
History needs to be acknowledged, and most Japanese do not seem to understand this basic truth. But don't be in a hurry to talk about others, what about the Chinese? Most Chinese people don't even know how many people died in the Nanjing Massacre, and the Chinese just follow along. Chinese films have always been educational, but they are just meaningless and hypocritical clichés that are no longer useful.
I went to the Baidu Post Bar for this movie. The bar is very deserted. There are only 14 posts, but most of them are full of rubbish who don't understand the movie. They make irresponsible remarks in it. Oscar nomination, and later said that establishing this bar is a shame for the Chinese. . . In this way, how does Chinese film develop, and how does China develop?
Watching a movie isn't as simple as just sitting there watching. People who don't understand movies should not make irresponsible remarks.
Change the lines in Crazy Stone: You can insult my IQ, but you can't stray into the character of the movie!
If I comment on this movie from an objective point of view, I personally think it is a pretty good movie, but it is not suitable for some Chinese people to watch.
However, I hope that most Japanese people can reflect on this film.
Just hope.
The chances are as slim as these unsent letters.
