In America, everyone knows the government's incompetence, everyone knows that change is needed, and everyone can gushed about disappointing realities, but not everyone can be president of the United States.
Tom Dobbs is indeed a good talk show player, he can always stab the government's sore spot, and he can always mobilize the atmosphere of the people very well. However, when those very relieved remarks made you laugh back and forth, it seems that he did not propose any measures to change the situation. He just kept criticizing, sarcasm, and sarcasm.
Maybe it doesn't take much to be the President of the United States, because it is a collective decision of the political group, but obviously Tom Dobbs is not suitable for this position, because he is too honest. Although his attitude towards Eleanor Green, whom he first met, and his concern for her after that, is as incredible as Eleanor Green's love of work.
Maybe Tom Dobbs should be a talk show host, he is not suitable for polite greetings, he is more suitable for vitriol. That joke about underwear is really smart.
The second half of the movie makes Eleanor feel like an action mystery, but the bumbling villain makes that assumption not true.
There's nothing outstanding about the film, it's not as good as those few talk shows.

Man of the Year quotes

  • Tom Dobbs: Even in the face of tyranny, there is comedy. Remember those two Jewish commandos who were sent to kill Hitler at 12:30? They waited in an alley with guns, bombs and knives... only Hitler didn't show up. After half an hour came and went, still no Hitler. Finally, one Jew turns to the other and says, "My God, I hope nothing happened to him."

  • Tom Dobbs: You can't spend $200 million running for office without owing *something* to *somebody*. Those who can't afford lobbyists have no advocate. The Statue of Liberty says, "Give me your tired, your poor." Government says, "Give me your wealthy, your gifted, your endowed."
