Hello, stranger
Goodbye,stranger
met, fell in love, betrayed, separated, reunited, separated again, and lived separately. Is it a circle back to the origin, from a stranger to a stranger eventually, or we have always been strangers and have never been close to each other.
The word Closer is sarcasm.
After being hit by a car, Alice subconsciously said "Hello, stranger" to the stranger Dan who leaned over to save her in a coma.
The words "Hello, stranger" confirmed their feelings. For Dan's deep heart, Alice will always be Do not let intervening strangers.
Dan is gentle and affectionate, selfish and loving. But maybe he never got close to anyone, including Ann. Ann and Dan seduce each other. In Ann's shot, when he confidently asks her "am I stranger?", Ann can't resist.
Whether it is false temptation or hesitation is actually a matter of time, not first, if they are attracted to each other.
Dan never knew Alice's real name. He didn't really care where she came from or where she was staying, or her life as a waiter in a coffee shop. Ann's marriage caused him to leave Alice to Ann's side because of jealousy. In order to divorce Ann from Larry, Larry is determined to use Dan's jealousy to get revenge on him and bring Ann back to his side. At Larry's pleas, a guilt-ridden Anna and Larry have one last relationship. Dan couldn't accept this fact, and on the other hand, Larry's words about having a relationship with Alice stimulated Dan again, and found Alice in the strip club.
Alice finally knew that the man she loved deeply but only returned to her because of jealousy had never really accepted her. It's not the point to spend all your strength to get his heart. If you lose the respect you deserve, it's inevitable to leave him. In fact, when Alice cried in pain and asked Dan why he fell in love with Ann, the truth of the sentence "because Ann doesn't need me" has already revealed Dan's heart. Sometimes we think that telling the truth is out of respect for each other and moral, but in fact, to a certain extent, telling the truth is just because we selfishly want to get rid of the condemnation of our own conscience.
Jealousy is always the catalyst that runs through Dan's wobbly feelings. The reason for jealousy is not just because of strong possessiveness, but more clearly because of the uncertainty of ownership and lack of security. The hysteria that comes with trying to get hold of a certain feeling and someone is sometimes not really a reflection of what's really going on inside of us.

The infatuation with each other as sweet as a child sometimes doesn't explain anything. After all, it is not love. We are still alone and live separately. We have never been strangers.
