How ordinary people become geniuses----"IQ Love"

Is it possible for ordinary people to turn into geniuses? Never forget the kind of thinking that is far ahead of the times? The answer is yes. First, if you happen to be hit in the head by a bright beam of light from the sky (see John Travolta's "Different Instincts"); second, if there is a genius among geniuses who is willing to pack you, for example, Einstein and his friends (see "IQ Love").

Edward, the auto mechanic played by Tim Robbins, has such good luck. He fell in love at first sight with Catherine, a smart woman played by Meg Ryan, but the other party ignored him at all, because Catherine was none other than the niece of the famous scientist Albert Einstein. The so-called Kochi family's influence may be noble, in short, Catherine has always believed that she must marry a wise man and has a psychologist boyfriend who meets this condition, but her uncle has a different opinion. (PS: Einstein's disapproval of psychologists in the film coincides with Sheldon more than ten years later)

Einstein believes that compared with intelligence, the fun of life is more important. Edward didn't even graduate from high school, but he loved to read science fiction and popular science magazines. So, a genius of geniuses - Einstein and his friends, decided to package Edward as a physics genius to get Catherine's attention...

Unexpected surprise, harmless absurdity, surprise With no dangerous twists and turns, the plot develops briskly under the impetus of these elements, and a physics genius who created the epoch-making condensation theory that "even Einstein couldn't create it" turned out! In the end, of course, the misunderstanding is cleared up, the seven stars return to their places, everyone is happy, and the lovers finally get married. It's also full of clichés. It's a good light comedy to make clichés pleasant and new, especially this time with the unique new wine of "Science".

Meg Ryan's heyday was known for being good at romantic comedies, but her brilliance was snatched away by the performance of a group of "old urchins" in the film.

In order to make Edward remember those boring formula principles, in order to make him not embarrassed at the paper conference, and in order for him to pass the IQ test conducted by a jealous psychologist, they did everything they could. It is said that Einstein in life likes to play pranks, and the "old urchin" style is not groundless.

The film was filmed on-site in Princeton, giving us the opportunity to follow the camera to walk around the world's famous "Hotel of the Wise Men". So I remembered the Puda written by Chen Zhifan. He wrote in "Little Notes in America": "Princeton Institute for Advanced Study, named 'The Inn of the Wise', is a place for the wise to rest, enjoy the shade, and chat. There, such as Einstein; there are also temporary invitations, such as Tonby. The institute does not care about the work of these 'travelers', but only provides them with a comfortable environment and leisure time, allowing them to think; Do the work of exploration in the depths of the soul." With

no prescribed tasks, no specific projects, how do wise men work? How does the research money get paid for? This is the question of ordinary people like us, and Professor Chen Zhifan also raised the same question back then.

The staff of the institute replied: "Wait."
"Wait for what?"
"Wait for the spark of human thought."
"How long?"
"I don't know. Maybe ten years, maybe decades, maybe hundreds of years. But It is worth it, and human civilization will take a big step forward."

Such poetic questions and answers are not often encountered in my long reading career, so I am deeply impressed. A "IQ Love" made me think of Puda again, and thought of this wise and indifferent dialogue recorded by Chen Zhifan.

Also: "IQ Love" is the work of Tim Robbins in 1994. The following year, The Shawshank Redemption was born. During Andy's long years of secretly digging tunnels in prison, the portraits on the walls changed and changed, and perhaps most viewers only noticed the huge posters of famous sexy actresses. But one year, above the prison door, a small portrait quietly appeared: it was Albert Einstein with his silver hair scattered like electric shocks.

It is said that this is a little joke played by Tim Robbins in the film, paying homage to the work of the previous year.
