Very ordinary fantasy movie

Before the last twenty minutes, I really want to say that this is a bad scene, a bad scene, a bad scene. Except for the magic effects and elegant pictures produced by today's high-tech, as well as Eisenheim, there is no bright spot. The plot seems to be following a set route, which is quite logical, calm and drowsy. Until near the end, Eisenheim left in the form of soul, which made people look a little bit stunned. The death of the prince made people feel boring, and the truth that the detective realized at the end was refreshing. Then the film ended in a beautiful atmosphere.

It can only be said that only the ending part of the whole film can be accompanied by the word wonderful, but this has improved the overall feeling a lot. Objectively speaking, looking at the overall situation, it is still an ordinary fantasy movie, nothing more.

I really feel wronged by Edward Norton’s elegance. The heroine is so ordinary and completely like a passer-by. For most of the time, the villain has no more characteristics except for the negative side. It is the passionate statement before the suicide of the prince. Can think about it a little bit.

The Illusionist quotes

  • Eisenheim: From the moment we enter this life we are in the flow of it. We measure it and we mark it, but we cannot defy it. We cannot even speed it up or slow it down. Or can we? Have we not each experienced the sensation that a beautiful moment seemed to pass to quickly, and wished that we could make it linger? Or felt time slow on a dull day, and wished that we could speed things up a bit?

  • Chief Inspector Uhl: As you know... we some times follow Duchess Von Teschen for her protection... Yesterday she was seen in the company of another man...

    Crown Prince Leopold: What man?

Chief Inspector Uhl: Eisenheim, the illusionist.

Crown Prince Leopold: What were they doing?

Chief Inspector Uhl: Well they were meeting and uh...

Crown Prince Leopold: Touching? Kissing?... Fornicating?
