BABEL has nowhere to run

The Tower of Babel, from the beginning of this story, made me feel familiar.
The same multiple cultural backgrounds, the same parallel threads, and the same entangled fates.
But in fact BABEL reminds me not of Crash, but Before the Rain.
A friend recommended this film very seriously, so I bought it as soon as I saw it, and I didn't have time to watch it until yesterday.

The story spans four cultures on three continents, from the remote villages of Morocco to the glitzy world of Tokyo.
American, Mexican, Moroccan and Japanese.
In this film about communication, you can see their respective struggles.

My personal favorite is the Japanese part.
The deaf girl's performance is in place, and the supporting role is also just right.
When the girl appeared naked in the camera, it didn't make people feel pornographic at all, but deeply felt the inner depression.
There are too many things in this world that cannot be explained, and too many secrets that can only rot in people's hearts.
That's why cursed humans can never be truly honest.

The pain in Morocco is naked, straight to the flesh with whips.
Japan's suffering is like a hidden charcoal, bit by bit eating away at the heart.
Which is more painful, the hurt because of love or the hurt because of not being loved.
I don't think anyone can tell.
Brad pitt between Morocco and Japan looks a little thin.
The phone call at the end of the movie made us believe that the problems between people cannot be solved by a life-and-death disaster, and people still have nowhere to escape in the Babel.

However, after watching the whole film, I was always a little disappointed.
On the one hand, it is because when the film unfolds, I have already guessed 7788 for all the clues and entanglements, so it is not enjoyable enough.
Then again, I feel that it is not as shocking as Before the Rain.
But for this year, it is indeed a good movie.
A friend swears that this year's Oscar's best film is very promising, so I'll wait and see.
