funny truth

The morality level has dropped recently, so I really like "Lord of War" and this movie.
If you haven't seen this movie and don't feel it yet, let me introduce the last set of shots of the movie:
Shot 1: The three old men frowned, dilemma and chattering.
Shot 2: The protagonist sits across from the three old men with a relaxed expression, making the old men quiet down. Then said: You tell me: there is no evidence that mobile phone radiation is harmful to the brain.
Shot 3: The three old men breathed a sigh of relief and laughed.

That's the protagonist's job to blur concepts, change the subject, and trick people into using some harmful product.

I don't hate him.
Too many products are deceiving us with false advertising, and we have no way of knowing how good the products we are using are for us.

I even like him. His persuasion method is so vivid and his eloquence is so superb, which should be admired by all marketing and sales people.

relax and happy.
While watching, let your morals drop a little. That way you can laugh!

Thank You for Smoking quotes

  • Nick Naylor: [Narrating] Few people on this planet knows what it is to be truly despised. Can you blame them? I earn a living fronting an organization that kills 1200 people a day. Twelve hundred people. We're talking two jumbo jet plane loads of men, women and children. I mean, there's Attila, Genghis... and me, Nick Naylor. The face of cigarettes, the Colonel Sanders of nicotine.

  • [Nick and Heather are introducing themselves to each other in a restaurant]

    Heather Holloway: Heather Holloway.

Nick Naylor: Nick Naylor. Big Tobacco.

Heather Holloway: [holds up tape recorder] Is this kosher?

Nick Naylor: Only if I can call you Heather.

Heather Holloway: By all means. So, Mr. Naylor...

    Nick Naylor: [interrupting] Nick.

Heather Holloway: Nick. Let's start with...

    Nick Naylor: '82 Margaux.

Heather Holloway: Okay. Is it good?

Nick Naylor: "Good"? It'll make you believe in God.
