“Address Unknown”

Taking the war as an example, there is no scene of conflict with guns, but Lao Jin presents a reality that is more cruel than the bloody contest. And this film is also South Korea’s most realistic and objective film about the Korean Peninsula war so far (I don’t know if it has been blocked in South Korea, and films like “Alive” in China will be banned...)

There is a scene that is very A woman who is strikingly blind in her right eye is walking back and forth on a path with two men who are both injured in the right eye. These three protagonists often make people feel that they are murderous, violent and eccentric, but they are all hurt first and foremost. Some expectations and hopes have turned into terrible hatred in the long confrontation with reality. I guess this is Lao Jin's intention. The war is caused by hatred, but this hatred cannot be simply defined by "right" or "wrong". However, the ending of mutual hatred is always tragic

. I almost watched it along with this film. Lao Jin is always so decisive and tragic that there is no room for it. The choice of all the characters in the film makes you have no courage and strength to refute at all. You can choose to leave or die, you can choose to escape or hide, but you can't live well. The world is bumpy, its flaws have been condoning incompetent provocateurs, and weak compromises can only destroy themselves.
