When choosing a movie, just use your intuition to judge whether you want to watch the movie or not from the cover design, character modeling, facial expressions, and movie title. I bought this film in 2004, and later I bought "April Story", only to find out that they are from the same director.
Iwai Shunji.
He likes to tell girls' youth stories.
I've watched this video many times, but never finished watching it. Every piece is deeply imprinted in my mind.
There is no distance between Iwai Shunji's films and the viewer.
His lens puts you in the picture, everything is so natural and logical, it's a unique first-person narrative.
There is no shock of the scene, only the moving of my heart.
All the details show the beauty of youth and a touch of sadness. Generates little satisfaction and excitement.
Everyone's growth is sad.
Everyone has a little dream in their heart. Just get as close as possible.
I especially like the last part of "Flower and Alice", when Alice went to apply for a magazine cover star: the
director asked her what she would do.
She said she could dance ballet. Then I used paper cups to make dancing shoes, and danced a full dance in the softly lit office. Dedicated, conscientious and natural. It feels shocking.
In the end she succeeded.
