October 26, a very boring day off. I avoided the class basketball game and went back to the dorm. I accidentally saw "Ghost Show" on the computer, an American drama that made me curious, so I downloaded an episode and watched it, but the result was unexpectedly amazing.
S1E1 tells two stories, "Gray Matter" and "The Haunted House of Heads". Here we mainly introduce the second minor accident. Of course, the story at the beginning is also very good. The monsters that appear at the end are full of Cthulhu style, but compared to The second story, still slightly inferior,

"House of Heads"
The scene at the beginning of the story appeared in a doll's house. The cute little heroine pointed at the doll and happily introduced it to her parents. The comfortable soundtrack created a full sense of happiness. Seeing this, I suddenly thought that foreigners seem to have sufficient imagination for toys such as dolls. While bringing happiness to children, they are often an ominous sign of being possessed by evil spirits.
Sure enough, when the little heroine returned to her room again and observed her beloved doll's house, she suddenly found that there was a strange head in the doll's house with a hideous face. What's more interesting is that other dolls in the dollhouse seem to feel this uninvited guest.
They changed their positions from time to time, and their faces were slightly frightened. At this time , this frightening feeling spread from the face of the doll and was mapped to the audience's mind. It makes people think, is it possible that the doll from the dollhouse has been resurrected? What's even more terrifying is that the head disappeared in the dollhouse...
Presumably seeing the audience's emotions here will be completely driven by the plot, because everyone knows that the little heroine needs to make some changes to save her doll friend.
The plot below is somewhat unexpected, the witty little heroine went to the doll store and bought the " sheriff"
I hope to use this to drive away the evil spirits in the dollhouse, but the results are not very satisfactory. The situation seems to be getting worse. In desperation, the little heroine can only go to the doll shop again for help , hoping that there will be a powerful priest or rabbi in the doll shelf to rescue her doll friends. But can this really subdue that evil spirit?
The follow-up plot will not be introduced too much, and it can be left as a suspense to everyone. If you like it, you can download and watch it yourself.
Let me explain from my personal point of view why the little story of "The Haunted House of Heads" makes the horror films of the same type feel inferior!
Common horror routines are boring, but it's novel enough
First, the development of the story is all developed from the perspective of the little heroine . The parents did not directly intervene in the whole process, which avoided the occurrence of the bloody plot, which is a very clever approach!
Second, the story in the dollhouse does not interact with reality. The director seems to intentionally mislead the audience, but in fact he does not do that, which is very anti-routine (probably because of the space, the little heroine at the end reined in the precipice and resold the dollhouse go out)
Third, it is quite novel to use dolls against dolls, because the common elements in European and American horror films are the radiating blood, or the shape of monsters with strong curiosity. From this point of view, this film is like a breath of fresh air in horror films, (what if I put the Ultraman doll from my childhood in it? )
Fourth, the production cost is quite low. The whole film only needs to change the position of the toy doll and add some paint. There is no bloody and weird scene, but it can catch the audience's attention. ( For example, Joker Returns to Soul 2, the production level has gone up, but the excessively long content and common routines lead to lower and lower patience of the audience )
After watching "House of the Skull" it reminded me of certain scenes from "Hereditary" and "Annabelle." I don't know if you all feel this way!
