Somehow, another movie, Ghost in the Shell, comes to mind, and it was a movie that left a deep impression on me. There seems to be no reason, so the expectations for akira are very high. Perhaps because of this, the impact of the film on me is much less, the picture is very soft, the characters are more rounded, and it is very comfortable to look at. Maybe because there are too many things to express, the plot seems a bit simple. The child who was used to being bullied since childhood yearns for powerful power, and once he gets this power, it will inevitably lead to spiritual loss, which is always the case with human nature.
Overall, the plot is relatively smooth, a little thin.
The characters are not too deep, the character is not too prominent, it is relatively simple, you will not be particularly impressed by a certain person, or have much interest in his future.
What feels good is that the picture is simple and pure, and some violent scenes appear very clean, without that kind of deliberate sensory stimulation (or do you think the earlier ones are clean after watching too many current violent films? I don’t know.)
