Infatuation that lasts for a thousand years

I really like this movie. First of all, the theme is novel (although there are many themes of archaeology and tomb robbing in today's, but it is rare at the time), secondly the plot is rich and exciting, and finally the casting, each role is very good Distinct. My personal favorite character is Immortal, this handsome bald guy is really a bit pitiful.

There are too many handsome men and beautiful women in "The Mummy", such as the ghostly Evelyn, the cynical O'Connor, the lucky MAX funny brother, the femme fatale Aksu, and the infatuated Immortal. There are also many classic scenes in the movie, such as the flexible little mummies in the rainforest, the scarabs gushing out like tides, the Scorpion King slowly crawling out from behind the door, and the dazzling huge gems at the top of the pyramid.

What impressed me the most was the duel between Evelyn and Aksu in ancient Egypt. This scene was amazing!

First, the entry point of this scene is very good. Evelyn's consciousness sinks into a golden world in the mist. The next scene enters the ancient Egyptian murals. The pharaoh sits in the middle, surrounded by dignitaries and nobles in gorgeous jewels on both sides. , Or raise your hand to shoot, or raise a cup to pay attention to the arena. In the venue, two ancient Egyptian beauties held weapons in graceful and dynamic postures. Just as I held my breath and prepared to look at the mural, the mural came to life in the next second, all the characters moved, and the two beauties fought together instantly.

It's like traveling through time and space to that era and seeing the life of the ancient Egyptians with your own eyes. It feels great! This is my favorite part of the whole show, which is the ancient Egyptian part.

This brings me back to the high priest Emerton. I think he is a more tragic character in the whole play. Thousands of years ago, he failed to protect his lover and was made a mummy. Thousands of years later, he was resurrected, and the only obsession in his heart was to resurrect his lover. I have always felt that the saddest thing in love is not torture, life and death, but that the other party suddenly doesn't love you. This love is like a joke, Immortal will not hesitate to sell his soul to be tortured, just for a love from Aksu. As a big villain, he doesn't care about anything else, the only thing he wants to catch is Aksu.

But Aksu doesn't love him anymore. Maybe I once loved, but I don't love anymore.

So at the end, when Immortal saw Aksu running away and giving up to save him, he desperately let go and fell into hell. The only thing he pursued was gone, and he lost the reason to continue living.

It's really miserable.

Rewatching it again, not only did the hardware such as art and special effects work hard, but the rhythm of the play was also good. In addition to making a fuss about the mystery, the soundtrack also had a vigor that is hard to see in Hollywood now.

Very hearty!! After watching "Tomb Notes" last week, I was so scared that I couldn't help but think of this movie. I remember looking back at this sultry summer vacation after many years at my grandmother’s summer vacation in high school. I have to be surprised to recall that my first dream when I was a child was to be an archaeologist. It is almost awakened by the adventurous spirit of the movie.
