I admit that I watched this Southeast Asian film with a curious mind, the rough first half of the video, the boys' love poems made me sleepy...until they licked each other's hands Sober, the second half is a romantic and mysterious poem.
For friends who are used to Hollywood's narrative structure and dazzling visual thrills, this film may be hard to swallow, or think it's too symbolic (gay, Thai, Soldier and the Beast, art film). But put aside the impression of these symbols, in fact, this movie is a very intuitive and simple love story.
The identity and responsibility of a soldier, and the embarrassment of beasts in modern society are all resolved in front of love. They licked the backs of each other's hands, chased and hunted each other. They roared with the forest, "I want to be your prey and your travel companion, and I want to give you my soul and my memory."
The camera lens and narrative techniques are intuitive and concise, and the director unfolds the soul exchange between them naked in the second half of the video. "Romance is a tropical disease" Love brings people back to the jungle. The jungle, like love, is full of fear and surprise, opening all the senses, returning to the most primitive desire, the simplest breathing.
