Crying for love in the center of the world

The azure blue sky, the endless rice fields, the swing on the top of the mountain, the radio at midnight, the dusk of the uninhabited island... The whole film has been shrouded in a thin and transparent light, and I seem to smell the summer of 17 years old. .

Anyone who is addicted to Iwai Shunji's youth films can easily find Iwai's shadow in it. The elements about first love, youth, and death in the film have too many similarities with love letters - the film's director Xue Dingxun has always been Iwai Shunji's deputy, and the film's photographer Shinoda Noble is Iwai Shunji's royal photographer.

But the director of this film is not Iwai after all, and this film that touched many Japanese did not hit me as deeply as "Love Letter". Compared with Iwai, Xingdingxun's heat is not enough. Some plots are too protracted and too complete, leaving relatively limited space for the audience. In addition, Xing Dingxun often sacrifices other pieces for the perfection of one piece to achieve the effect. For example, I have never understood how a 17-year-old can come and go in a sterile room late at night. Japanese films, which are meticulous, generally do not allow such low-level mistakes, so I believe that similar loopholes are deliberately made by Xing Dingxun. It suddenly occurred to me, if Iwai were to make this movie, how would he behave?

But I really like the beautiful scene in the first half of the movie with a strong Iwai Shunji atmosphere, and the ignorant boy and sweet girl always remind me of the scenes of "Love Letter". The final scene in Uluru, Australia, is also beautiful, making up for the clichéd and deliberately provocative parts in the middle. Shinoda passed away suddenly after filming this film, so the magnificent image that this film left us is also our last memory of this master.

When the voice of the girl's last tape sounded in the center of the world - Uluru, my heart finally touched:

"I like you because of the stuffed mouth on the roof when you eat bread, I smile with peace of mind."

So he began to sigh: It turns out that falling in love with someone can be so simple!

p,s I didn't have the urge to cry when I watched the movie, but when I saw the mv with Ken Hirai's warm singing voice, my nose suddenly got a little sore. The theme song of the Japanese drama is really sensational!

P, s again, the male protagonist of the movie is actually not good-looking at all, very ordinary. But after watching the whole movie, I thought he was silly and cute. Then I had an epiphany: Boys really don't need to look too good.
